Another Interbike has come and gone for the year. Interbike always provides for a very busy week as we meet with potential customers and check out the latest in the bike industry. We saw some things we can’t wait to integrate into our custom carbon frames. Stepped forks, BB30 and integrated seatposts come to mind.
Once again our custom frames were used in the Rotor Bike Components to show off all of their great parts. That 3D crank is looking really nice. Can’t wait to see it hit the US market. The guys at Rotor are always a blast to hang out with and we’re gracious to work with them.
Congrats to Vegas local Jefon Jefferson for winning the USA Crits Finals Cat 2/3 race on a KirkLee / Rotor bike while also racing the Industry and Master’s 35+ as well.
Thanks again to everyone that stopped by and talked with us. It really helps reinvigorate us knowing that folks are excited about what we’re doing. See you next year!
KirkLee was recently featured in the October issue of Road Bike Action magazine. The online version is now available for reading.
The one word that defines a KirkLee frame is custom. The Austin workshop is full of carbon tubes that have all been designed by and made for KirkLee. Brad will pick from a selection of tubes of different shapes and sizes for each frame made. “We designed our own laminate schedule for each tube,” Brad says proudly. “And from there, everything is imaginable and up in the air in regards to what we can build.” Each frame is made off a template using the “tube to tube” process. No molds are used.
KirkLee had a great time at the North American Handmade Bicycle Show last week in Indianapolis. The crowds were great and very knowledgeable. Some folks already knew about us and others were just finding out what we’re about.
Check out the links posted below for some NAHBS coverage. There were a lot of photos taken, so be on the lookout on Flickr, Picasa, etc.
Austin Bike Blog recently visited KirkLee to see what we’re all about. Take a look and tell us what you think.
Life is good right now at KirkLee. In just over 12 months, framebuilder Brad Cason has taken a framebuilding business that was just an idea and generated a tremendous amount of buzz as an up and coming custom carbon brand to watch.
We’d like to thank everyone that came out to the Superdrome on Saturday. The show had good attendance and we were able to show what KirkLee is about. Check out the story from Austin Bike Blog. Plans are to have the show in Austin next year, so stay tuned.
The Texas builders hang out after a successful show.
Interbike has come and gone for another year. Lots of folks stopped by the Rotor Components and Edge Composites booths to check out our bikes. Be on the lookout for us online and in publications.

KirkLee unveiled two 29er mountain bikes at Interbike. We started with our own unique tube set, added carbon stays with plenty clearance for big tires, and capped it off with our own 6/4 titanium dropouts precision cut on a CNC waterjet. Then we finished it off with all top shelf parts.
